Bianka & Jim ~ L’Auberge Resort ~ Sedona, Arizona

When groom Jim first experienced the sounds and serenity of Oak Creek at the L’Auberge Resort in Sedona, he knew that this is where he wanted to marry his love Bianka. Jim, a New Jersey boy and Bianka, a Canadian of Eastern Indian descent, met while working on a professional project in their respective industry. With family coming from both the East Coast and Canada for their celebration, the couple wanted to start their October 2012 wedding festivities Sedona style. The welcome dinner, held at romantic Tlaquepaque, featured traditional Southwestern fare and wines specially selected by the couple. Adding the Indian flair, Bianka chose to have a traditional Indian henna artist paint wedding designs on the hands and feet of the ladies. Jim, a big jazz fan, added his touch by selecting Sedona’s best jazz quartet to entertain the guests during dinner. Always a caring couple, Jim & Bianka provided the ladies with colorful pashminas to ease the chill of a late September Sedona evening. The wedding day at L’Auberge was a serene, yet couture blend of American and Indian culture featuring a fusion ceremony with a woodsy wedding feel. The ladies were presented with colorful parasols to shade them in the afternoon sun. Bianka’s wedding dress, known as an Indian lengha, was adorned with brilliant hand sewn crystals and gold thread. The woodsy autumn wedding theme was also present at the reception featuring dark wooden chairs, mossy linen and refreshing white florals. The couple and their guests danced nonstop for more than 3 hours, a new record for the deejay! Images by Ruby Rideout
